Painting Update

Well I have to give a painting update because I totally love it. We did the entrance and down the hall and stairwell yesterday. We did the bag faux painting thing. It turned out great. Of course the stairs were a little scary. Judy who will do anything went out and found a board. We put the board on the top stair and through a ladder rung and then put another ladder on top of the board. We then elected her to go to the top. The board was a little old so we put a couple of chairs under it to give it a little stability. My house is totally ripped apart. I painted my pantry Tuesday so everything had to come out. It amazing what you can find in a pantry. I found some Hamburger Helper from 2000. I told Kendall I am saving it for his birthday dinner in May. No one likes to be home because the house is such a mess. It will look great if and when I ever get it put back together.

This is Shellie (Annette's little girl). She came after kindergarten. By 6:00 she was pretty bored. I don't have a very fun house for little girls. Too many boy toys around here.

Finally doing my Sweetheart tag

Who is smarter? Toss up, were both pretty smart, ha ha

What me? Painting my house

Well I am painting my house. I can't believe I have finally started. I have wanted to do this forever but was so afraid of picking a color and going with it. My two friends, Judy Polatis and Annette Scott said they would help me. Rachel and I finally went looking for colors and found some. Judy said buy your paint and lets do it. I did it, I can't believe it. We painted Friday and I absolutely love it. It changed the whole look of the house.

My kitchen and dining room

I now look at all the work that is awaiting me in the rest of the house and get a little overwhelmed. I absolutely love my newly painted walls so I guess I will keep going.

Cleaning the Church

I really wasn't going to post this but I figured if I ever get a picture of Dave vaccuming I had better show everyone. We cleaned the church last Saturday night. Rachel and Kendall were nice enough to help us. I got quite the surprise in the boys bathroom. Everyone else bailed and left the dirty deed to me. It is a great service we get to do and like I said anything that will get dave to vaccum is worth it.

The Great Hunters

Well thank heavens that hunting is over for our family (except Kendall who is going this weekend with all his friends). Brenan got his deer last Friday. He missed school on Thursday and went to a friends cabin and stayed over night. He got his on Friday and Kaden went with Kendall on Saturday. He got his very first deer. It was a nice one too. It was a 4 X 5. I am sure that means something to all of you blogging ladies out there. I myself hate hunting and tell them often how grateful I am that I am a girl and don't have to go prove how tough I am by killing some cute little deer. They of course don't listen or care what I say about it. They have been going most every weekend since I think August when bow hunting opened. Dave also got his deer even though he isn't much of a hunter. Funny story there. We gave two of them away to some of our truck drivers who love deer meat, and had Kadens made into jerky. Thank heavens it is over!!!!!!!!!

Kadens fist deer. Dropped it with one shot.

I am sure all you ladies totally enjoyed seeing all these pictures.

2 Letters WOW!!

10/15/08
Dear friends and family how are things going. you are probably done with potatoes by now. I am sure that you are happy about that. How was the harvest? It is amazing how fast two weeks goes when you aren't thinking about digging potatoes. It always seemed like a long time when I was there. Two weeks isn't very long at all. I did get to see some potatoes dug though. We were in Park Rapids Minnesota and they even have pivots there. It was very cool to see. I was on my way to Bemidji when I saw that. I love to drive there it is my favorite place to go just because of the drive. Things are going well here in Fargo. Mom when is Todd coming back to Fargo? I think that I am getting transferred this time. I feel that it's time. Transfers are on the 25th I believe. This transfer is going to be different. We are going to get calls on Saturday night and then pack on Monday then move on Tuesday. We usually get calls on Wednesday then move on Thursday, but it is different now for good. We have a lot of good investigators and I think a lot of them will get baptized. I don't think that I will get to see it but that OK. It is time for me to move on. I'm sorry this letter is so late we have been doing a lot of traveling and everything else. The zone is doing good and things are moving along. I hope that everything is good back home. I hope to hear from you all soon. Thanks again for everything. Love Elder Robison

Well mom your guilt trip worked and I am writing you another letter today. We have a lot of investigators right now. Our best is probably the Africans. We have about ten people that are all kind of related. The one that sticks out is a guy named Jason Wolf. He is our only white guy. He is married to a member girl. They are in their early 20's. They are really cool. He has a goal of being baptized before the end of the year, I thin that they will make it. Things are going well. I have been here in Fargo for about 6 months. Between here and Huron I have spent 1/2 of my mission. It has been a good year. Time is winding down. I have 5 transfers left and the one that I am in feels like it took 3 weeks instead of 6 so it won't be long. I am thankful that I was able to go on a mission. It is an awesome experience. I once heard it put this way--It is a million dollar experience you wouldn't pay a dime to do again. Really it has been good. I have grown a lot in a year and am still learning a ton. I am excited for life though. I used to worry about the economy and if I would ever be able to make it, but in the past few months that fear has gone away. When I get home I plan on going to LDS Business College. Elder Perry my trainer is going there. He says it is really cheap and easy. For my schooling history that is exactly what I need. Thank you all for everything that you do. I hope that everyone stays safe through the holidays. Mom thank you for all the extra support. Love Elder Robison
